Secret Santa has been providing children in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel with gifts at the holidays for more than 40 years. The organization was started as a partnership between the towns' General Assistance offices and local volunteers, who took on the project of creating a completely confidential process that allows each child to make their own wishlist of items. This personal touch distinguishes us from other very worthy organizations. 

We are all anonymous volunteers who take pride in the work we do to ensure that no child in our three towns will ever go without at the holidays. We are committed to helping every family and child who needs us, regardless of faith tradition. Our kids range in age from newborn to Senior in High School.

Our season starts just before Thanksgiving, when we place our trees in locations such as town libraries, town halls, local gyms, etc. The trees are hung with tags. Each child will have several tags with specific wishes. You may feel free to collect more than one tag! You may also make donations via check or Venmo. Once you have selected your tag, you shop for the item on that tag. There will be details as far as sizes, for clothing, or specific names of toys to eliminate the guesswork. The gift is then returned by our deadline, unwrapped, to the location where you took the tag. The location will have a spot where the gifts are collected. 

The trees are in place for about 2 weeks. After that, your local "elves" who are running the show make sure that any missing gifts are purchased, and that everything is distributed to families well ahead of the holidays.
